RE: What Are The 10 Best Sounding Class D Amps?

The class D amps I use are of the ultra cheap sort, the mini chip amps that are as big as two cigarette packs.
The best I have is a modded Trends TA10.1; the others are SMSL.
I use the Trends on the mids/highs because it is vastly superior to the single-meal cost SMSL amps (those are still incredible in regard to price but hardly "audiophile").
It is true that the treble sounds "different" with the Trends compared to, say, a small class A amp, or a class AB; yet it does have qualities that made me sell all my other amps (none of those were ultra high end, but I used to have quite a nice collection of very decent solid state amps).
That specific treble also changes the most when I try on different types of external PSU so the stock wall mart is probably responsible for a great deal of the slightly tizzy treble.
What I like the most about them is the complete absence of hiss, hum, noise; a fact rarely observed on my 105dB horns.
