I've been using Chinese hi-fi brands ("chi-fi") in my main system for years (class T amps, DAC) as well as in other parts of the house (bedroom, office) and NEVER had the slightest reliability problem other than the occasional dead LED. I did have a 49$ active crossover that was overly sensitive to RFI and I eventually stopped using it, but the BUILD quality was stunning especially at the price - my current active crossover, entirely made in the USA, catches the same RFI perturbation but at a more acceptable level.
On the other hand, I've owned a few pieces of NAD equipment in the past (comparatively more expensive) and some of those had reliability issues, mainly CD players.
