While there are plenty of AB and class D that offer fine sound and reliability these days, perfection, regardless of class, costs more. I have a class D integrated amp that I bought direct from the manufacturer and remain pleased with it after almost three years. I think I got good value for my money. I didn't buy an AB amp because there were no B&M stores in the KC area that I knew of where I could have auditioned an example in an appropriate setting.
So I'll recommend a class D amp once you've done your homework on what your needs and expectations might be now and in the future. Approach your purchase like an investment. That homework includes giving AB amps a look as well to eliminate any buyer's remorse down the road.
