You can get away with only so much in a tube amplifier.I would not go with much under the KingKo KA 101 which I reviewed, own and which now has US representation.
If you have speakers that stay above 4.5 ohms the KingKo is worth a look.
Or look for a Used Audio Note OTO/SORO/Meishu - Audio Note has come out with new Signature editions of all three so there may be more coming up second hand as people upgrade to the new ones. The SORO SE offers around 18 watts and is more ballsy than the other two. But the other two are more valve-like and lush.
Still on a low budget the KinkKo and the Line Magnetic (LM) 211IA are worth of consideration. The KingKo sounds better, but the 211ia has triple the power and a remote. But a second hand OTO will be around the $2,000 price range and if you can live with 6-7 or so real world watts it's tough to beat which is why it has been selling for 30 years.
