Worst thing that can happen is some very high frequency loss, but it won't hurt your equipment - and I think you're still in the ballpark for not experiencing any loss.I'm using some Y adaptors from Viablue at the output of my preamp for the same purpose. Don't cheap out too much on those, and use them on the preamp output that drives the lows (I assume you're bi-amping) to minimize any (unlikely) loss in resolution caused by the adaptors (I didn't experience any with the Viablue).
