Well, I was going to buy a used high powered integrated amp, but someone
got to it before I did. So today I stopped into my local bricks and
mortar audio store to listen to the new McIntosh MC352 integrated amp
they just got in. It's a hybrid (4 tubes in preamp section); it's
powerful (200/320 watts @ 8/4 ohms) in the SS output section; it's real big
and real heavy; it's very nice looking; and, with only a cursory audition
listening to streaming music thru some B&W speakers, it sounds ... absolutely wonderful! Might be just what my Magnepans need!
I urge you to audition this gorgeous beast when your local Mac dealers
gets one in. I will be doing further auditioning soon. I think I'm
in love!
