I haven't heard the Parasound but I've had a Peachtree Nova 150 in my system for about 18 months now and enjoy it. It has 150w/8 ohms and 250W/4 ohms, a MM phono section built in, and the usb input for the ESS 9018 Sabre DAC. There are other inputs for the DAC. The Peachtree website has better information on those than I can give here. Its small enough to fit into most racks, has a high WAF appearance, and you won't need extra help to wrestle it into place. It comes with a two year warranty that can be increased to three years if you register on line.
Presently, they have a promotion on their piano gloss black model that reduces the price from $1700 to $1499, including a thirty day trial and free FedEx shipping.
