I think I may do just that.
I'm scaling back as even though I *love* my vintage pieces, I care less to muck about with everything as I get older. And am prepared to climb higher up the tree of sound to compensate.
If I remember correctly, Charles Hansen had nice things to say about the Atlas amplifier and its level of musical engagement, on which the Mimas is based.
