Where do you live? Is it a large metropolitan area?
If you are in LA or OC, CA., the society goes to high end dealers most months, from Jan to Nov. Many of those dealers are long timers and have many trade ins, excellent used gear. If I lived in our area, would look in the website and call those dealers or email them.
I found some excellent ebay amps in the past, or Audiogon gear (like my speakers). But, you always take a chance. Try some 70-80s type integrated amps or receivers. Adcom and Hafler equipment, SS type, would still be great.
