I've talked to a tech at Cary three times now and he hasn't mentioned a resistor change option. So far, we've tried changing tubes in the 302 and the SLI-80, and he mentioned that changing the turns ratio on the 302's transformer was a possibility.
Although the 302 sounds really good, and probably would be even better if I could get the SLI-80's volume control into a "normal" range, I think I'd sell it before going to such a radical modification as changing the turns ratio on the transformer.
The resistor change sounds like a reasonable option. Thanks.
