I'm the proud owner of two First Watt J2 poweramps. These are built with ALL JFETS and are rated at 30WPC into 8 and 15WPC into 4.
Nelson Pass says the channels are parallelable, with the max.-power rating becoming, per chassis, 30 into 8 and 60 into 4. I'm currently using only one channel in each amp, driving rather-sensitive (97dB) Serenity Super-7s. I don't NEED more power, but if the sound quality is likely to improve, I'll wire them into mono.
What think you? This inquiring mind wants to know. :-)
