Thanks Abe! It's a bummer. The vk-300se has always been on my short-list if I got the upgrade bug.
And I realized as I sat here tonight listening to "A Bigger Bang" how right you were a few days ago in our exchange on good preamps for jazz. I might be really disappointed if I choose a preamp that only did jazz great.
I may just stick with my Plinius 9200. It's a great all-around performer, but I want the liquidity that only tubes seem to supply.
