If you get the 'new' Glow Amp One' you will have 2 inputs. I have the original Glow Amp One, which only had one input. You will need a phono preamp and it will take up one of the inputs leaving you with a spare input.
Clipping does occur in tube amps, but it is not as abrupt as in solid state amps and is therefore more tolerable.
