I like Vandys. I used some 2Ci's for years.
If all you want to do is get something for Christmas while you repair your main amp, a class T or 3886 amp would be fine.
You can find some decent new amps on Audioadvisor from guys like Cambridge, Vincent or even a small amp from Nuforce. Also there a cheap NAD.
I just saw the perfect used amp for those Vandy at a nearby Portland dealer. But it was $500. Audio Refinement complete (lower YBA brand from a few years ago).
