You are going to need efficient speakers with SET 2A3 type amps, > 96dB and the higher impedance the better. When you find that combination you'll never look back. I've tried the classic PP EL84 and EL34 amps while very nice sounding they don't have that reach-out and touch-it feel and sound. Tons of stuff on the SET and Hi-Eff forums here.
