RE: Rotel RMB-1075 amp will not power on

I have not yet checked the fuses with a multimeter. I can safely check fuse resistance, with the amp unplugged, while the fuses are still in their fuse holder -- correct? These are the individual channel fuses, there is no fuse at the IEC or elsewhere downstream of the power as far as I can tell.

However, the main power goes to a plastic cover with a warning that only certified Rotel techs can proceed inside, high voltage, safety reasons, etc. Hmmm, sounds ominous, maybe I'll leave that alone.

I don't like to dig around where there are large caps, I'm not sure how long they hold their charge -- a few hours? A day?
