Yours is an unconventional project for a repair technician, but you might ring up Gary at Musical Fidelity in West Los Angeles 310-558-0037. Though fortunately I haven't used him in years, he's worked on my Audio Research and McIntosh stuff. Gary's very communicative, thorough, and the fixed stuff stays fixed. Be aware he's also thorough in calculating the charges- get the firmest commitment to costs you can.
