I am not sure I agree with your assessment. If one amp sounds good only on some recordings, and another amp sounds good on more recordings, I don't think it necessarily follows that the first amp is more transparent. I can see your point that some components with color the sound to be more euphonic, but I don't think this is the case with the Pass vs Bryston.
I've owned a variety of Pass amps as well as the Bryston 4BSST. The Pass amps pull more low level resolution out of the recordings without sounding as fatiguing. If it were a matter of coloring the signal to sound more euphonic, the Pass amps would be masking those low level details instead of further resolving them.
