I have the 550K Superchargers and I love them. I have listened to them multiple ways - directly via Cary SLP-03 preamp, via a little Glow Audio One amp, via AES Sixpacs, and via a Marantz 8B. The tube amp characteristics come through nicely to my Revel Ultima Salon 2 speakers and I often listen directly from the preamp and can not hear any high frequency edge, as a follow-up Stereophile article once suggested.
