rsyouman,
I have never heard the Hovland HP-200P, but checking, see that it uses 2-12AX7's and 1-12AT7. I'm not aware of which tubes Hovland supplied - and therefore can't compare, but can recommend two tubes that I've found in both vintage and modern gear to have the most energetic, punchiest bass, and wonderful resolution and detail for those two types. -"Fast", dynamic tubes but transparent and never harsh. -Very quiet too. These are both Siemens and Halske: for 12AX7, the triple mica E83CC and for 12AT7, the triple mica E81CC. Stay with Siemens and Halske "S&H" logo tubes and avoid the later, two mica SIEMENS logo versions.
The Siemens triple mica E83CC and E81CC to me would have a very good chance to steer the Hovland toward the attributes you mention.
For more focus on tube choices, you may want to ask this question and/or do a search in "Tubes Asylum" where there are thousands of posts on these two very common tube types and "NOSing around". By the way, it would help in making suggestions of this kind more individualised if you would mention the other equipment you using and type of music you like.
Cheers,
Bambi B
