Mister Pig,

It's amusing in your photo to see what appears to be a small, simple amplifier being attacked by large, sophisticated wires.

Intriguing sources too. As I moved recently and don't yet have a system in the office- limited space (Cambridge Audio 640C / Revox B160 > Audio Research LS3 > D130 > Infinity 360) and difficulty in placing speakers, I've been using the computer as a CD player and even through the on-board sound card and the powered computer speakers that came with my 1998 Dell, I've been having some uncharacteristically "modern" thoughts.

This kind of tiny tube integrated with what must be fairly simple circuitry is very attractive. I have an EICO HF-12- mono integrated, 1958- with phono !- and 12W from 2-(Mullard) 12AX7's and 2-(Mullard)EL84's, 12X4 rectifier and which is nearly as cute as your Elekit. I've had a grand scheme to buy a second and run the pair as dual mono integrateds off a server to some small monitors for the office. If I was more sophisticated electronically, I'd thought to rebuild them into one chassis and delete the tone controls. They have a strange feature in that the on-off switch is also the bass tone control!

I have so much audio gear and yet still seem to have to struggle whenever I move to have the right stuff around for the situation.

Cheers,

Bambi B
