better on vocals than the Svetlana and NOS Tesla EL34s. More delicate, refined, airy and resolving. So far a bit less weight on the lower end but they supposedly gain that with 100-200 hours of break-in, which I don't have yet. Check with Jim McShane.
Although some amps can take a variety of output tubes, you're probably better off staying with those the amp is optimized for: in this case, the EL34/KT77/6CA7 family.
