I love Arcam's dedication to great sound. I just hope they have learned from the unreliability of the AVR2XX-AVR3XX conundrum they had to go through. Bet they lost all profits paying for warranty repairs THEN replacing motherboards after the repairs failed a few months later (one warranty repair is enough to slaughter profit, much less 2 labor costs plus a new motherboard).
Problem was RoHS and heat. Lead free solder and high heat are not great partners, and with all power supply regulators on the motherboard (rather than in a separate power supply) they cooked themselves to death.
Don't ever buy a used Arcam AVR 250, 280, 300 or 350 (or AVP700) if you like your gear to last...
