All production has their lemons, especially at this price point. I'd think the odds are that you'd get one that worked fine for a long time.
As to whether you'd like it or not, that's for you to decide. Simaudio is a higher level product, IMHO. But if you want to get something new and around $500 or 600 it's worth a listen. Again use AudioAdvisor and if you don't like it ship it back.
