...my Sonographe experience follows.
For some years I used a Sonographe pre-amp with an Adcom GFA-555 amp. All solid state. Eventually I sold them and bought a used Jolida 801a tube integrated. Sold them for about what I paid for the Jolida. The Jolida was a vast improvement. Now I can't say for sure that the Jolida was better than both the Sonographe and the Adcom or that it improved only on one of them, but at this point I'd be pretty reluctant to go back to the brand in favor of a CJ-branded unit.
