I auditioned the Parsifal Encores extensively in 2002. I wish I had bought them. At the time, I was looking for speakers to match my amp - a Berning ZH-270 "OTL". It was NOT a good match with the PEs.
They need a lot of power, or current, to open up. Your ML int amp has that. So, my recommendation.....
Belles 350a Reference amp - $3,995 list. Sells for $3200 new. $2700 used.
DeHavilland Ultraverve or Mercury pre - $2500 - $4000 new. Sells for 20% less, used even better.
Get some decent power cords (VH Audio) and some cost effective cabling (used Audience Au 24) and you will be set. You can have access to the owners of the companies - just like Bruno - and you can pocket the change.
