You'd probably get a better response over on Vintage or at least search for both model numbers and they have older threads describing just what you're asking. If I was to paraphrase, the X50 series sounds better and warmer than the X80 series. Many liked the looks of the X80 better. I had an SX-680 Pioneer last year and did extensive restoration. I liked the sound a lot more than I thought I would (in my garage). Those flat pack power chips aren't as bad as some say. But I hated the inside arrangement of the boards and heatsinks. It was hard to get at stuff and made restoration harder. Not sure what the 750 is like inside.If one of the units had been restored, cleaned, or near mint, I'd get that one. If they were in the same state of age/repair, I'd try the 750.
