Let me explain better.
I had the opportunity to try two monos of a friend of mine in my system.
I liked them quite a lot.
On this basis I purchased them.
I decided to change the 20 years old big filter caps.
Immediately I perceived a less powerful sound, less bass drive, less trasparency, less 3D effect. Nothing really bad. Only less of everything.
I can honestly say that after one month of very intermittent use the sound I remember is coming back.
Above all other thing I think that the level of the 3D effect is particularly telling, as always.
