Thank you very much for your extremely interesting advice.
It seems to me that some units are "harder" to break in compared to others.
And once broken-in a few hours time are needed to reach an optimum performance.
I have a very cheap amp, a Behringer A500, I purchased on the basis of a positive lab test report on a mag.
As new its sound was at least questionable ( I felt a relly bad buy indeed).
The sound was very dry, weak and harsh in the mid.
I can honestly say that after one month of intermittent use it is definitely more "bearable", not a champion but surely up to its price (and more).
The change for the better was very evident IMHO.
I feel this is a case of amp "hard" to break in.
Kind regards,beppe
