What they are calling Class A power is the power that the Class AB amplifier can make before any of the output devices reach cutoff.

That is not the same thing as true Class A power. The devices in a Class A amplifier are bias at the mid point between max current and cutoff.

The output devices in Class AB amplifier are biased at something lower than that, otherwise the amplifier would not be able to produce power beyond when half of the output devices reach cutoff because the other half of the output device would be at max at that same moment.

The JC-1+ can do 25 watts while all of the output devices are conducting 100% of the time and 450 watts total. Clearly the output devices are not biased at the mid point between cutoff and max current.
