That is, producers may issue poor recordings that aren't necessarily what they would wish to due to circumstances they don't personally control -- life is like that for lot of us.~~~~
The best recordings do not sound "dry" or "unmusical" on ultra-low distortion equipment. Nor do mediocre recordings for that matter.(To be clear, I define "best recordings" to those that tend to sound great regardless of the playback equipment.)
I find that a higher portion of my recordings sound better than ever before with with my current, ultra-low distortion amplifier. But then you would disagree because you have a personal preference for fuller, warmer sound. I don't admire you obstinate refusal to allow personal preference -- essentially you are telling me, " You are wrong for liking what you like ".
NOT the 51st state, eh!?!
