I have heard several class D's including the current Hypex NC5252MP; they share the high transparency and dynamics but don't sound exactly the same.In case of my Purifi amp which has VTV's I/O buffer, I have listened to several different Op Amps, integrated and discrete; also I had the Hypex Eval buffer. My impression is that they don't sound the same either, but all sound pretty good, (excepting the Hypex buffer), and have the excellent resolution, dynamics, and bass.
By the way, even my old Class D Audio SDS258 pretty good and share the characteristics. It sounds better since I replace the linear power supply with a SMPS and tidied the wiring inside the case.
NOT the 51st state, eh!?!
