He found that of course the best result was when it added nothing to the original file. ...".Yet very many people have said that amps like the Benchmark AHB2 or the Purifi 1ET400A sound "dry", "sterile", "unmusical", etc. This despite that they have virtually no distortion, i.e. all harmonics below -130dB; all higher order below -140dB. By Howard's logic you would think they would sound best -- it's seems quite a stretch to say the even high-order has audible effects and -140dB, 0.00001%.
