How do bleeder resistors render your extra capacitor/joule current delivery experiment invalid???
Since they instantly discharge the energy reserve, output level drops to zero immediately. Tells you nothing of the reserves available when powered up.
And, in fact, most modern (solid-state) audio power amplifiers don't use bleeder resistors. :)
Apparently, I don't use *most*. The '81 Threshold Stasis dropped signal immediately upon turn off. As does the Ncore in the garage. Along with the Emotiva XPA-5 in the HT.
