The basic layout will look the same, and indeed very close if you look at the pictures on our website. Great circuit.This is not a picture of a final Prima Luna. The actual Prologue One and Prologue Two will be up there soon. But I did not want pictures up there until paperwork is in place to protect us, and we return from the factory to make sure that the designs are protected and ONLY available on our product. We were not yet ready to chat about this but since it has been asked:
At the outset, I wanted to make sure Prima Luna is 99% klutz proof as we will send them everywhere from New York to New Orleans. We sell more expensive gear here, and don't do Jolida and the like. I have passed on entry level tube gear because they are a pain in the ass. A simple tube failure can mean a trip to the shop. Every shipment is different. Not into it.
To do this right, Prima Luna will be a consortiom of distributors in Europe and Upscale Audio in the USA. Not selling "what is offered", but taking a super product and making it competetive with stuff costing much more.
The Prologue One will have a slow startup circuit to extend tube life, and reduce the chance of tube failure/shorts. In the event that a tube fails and runs away, there will be a safety fuse to protect the amp.
In addition, we have "Super Auto Bias". This part of the amp was designed by Marcel Croese, formerly of Goldmund in Switzerland, who did much of the work on the award winning "Product of the Year" Ah! Tjoeb. It has been a long time coming, with several refinements. I have had the amp and auto bias board looked at by some of the best engineers in the industry to make sure it has no "holes in it's underpants" and have complete confidence. No more tube bias questions. No problems, just plug and play.
The higher power Prologue Two will have upgraded diodes, upgraded bypass caps, and coupling caps.
