Those are the folks I know. How many audio companies fashion clocks out of meters and put them on turntables(!) to determine speed?
Also it drives complex loads far better than my two ARC amps (modified D75 & the afore mentined CA50).
If the "it" refers to your MA2275 driving the B&Ws, you'll find it uses more negative feedback to provide a lower source impedance. Tube amps in general are not a good match for speakers with a roller coaster impedance curve. I certainly agree with your comment about matching. Those speakers really require a SS amp for the most linear response.
There's no magic for a designer to use lots of NFB at the expense of performance in the time domain.
