You get a lot more for your money with the Panasonic, and I don't think the quality is any worse than the NAD. I'm still breaking in my Panasonic and I don't miss the NAD at all. It did have that analog warmth, but once I turned down the treble on the Panasonic it has a very similar sound. I don't know about the detail though. I though the Panasonic was more detailed, even over the analog input, I can pick out mp3s easier now.
