I have an older NAD a 304 Int. Amp. My impression is that the NAD is a little less transparent on the high frequencies. For eg. a comparable Creek would provide more high frequency information. Is this the case still ?
I later bought a Audio Refinement Complete which again is a little rolled off, but performs overall in a better way - like soundstage, smoothness etc.
I recently acquired a Panasonic SA-XR50 as an experiment and am thrilled at the detail and dynamics, which I was not getting with either the older NAD or the Audio Refinement.
