I tried some Ag speaker wire with new speakers and they seem to produce excellent sound which some have found not be a good match with the SA-45.Out of the lower priced gear I have tried the Panasonic equipment and the FT Audio LW-1 Passive controller still ranks up there as the best values in audio.
Can only get better from here on out. Still want a Class A amp. One hing the Panny does not seem to do is drive my 3-ways as good being a more inefficient speaker system,but I would not throw it away either for those looking for good sound on a shoestring budget.
