Yamaha sucks, big time, anythings better than that.
The worst sounding stuff I have ever owned has been Yamaha.
And you are here asking if the Panasonic SA XR 45 is "better" that a stinking Yamaha receiver ?
People have been replacing mega buck stuff with the Panasonic my friend, better read the threads.
And its not all that shabby through the Analog Inputs,, just not quite as outstanding as when the signal is kept entirely in the digital domain.
I have had more Yamaha shit then I care to admit, and none of it was worth a fuk in my opinion.
I have had the amps with the red vertical flashing lights, the pre amps with the variable loudness controls, and several pro logic and dolbe digital receivers.
I think Yamaha is the absolute worst sounding shit I have ever heard, and thats being nice.
Cold, clinical, harsh, w/o image, anemic, thats the Yamaha sound.
