This is not to say I dont like tubes though.
I happen to like syrup on my Pancakes too, and they change the taste of the Pancakes ?
You are correct about being able to drive the amps, and thats why we used not only the Mesa Baron Monoblock Prototypes Randy Smith from Mesa sent me for evaluation, we also used some transistor Monoblocks, also w/ gain controls, and ran the Meridian Cd player straight in to them as well.
Do you still have the Newforms ??
