The Panasonoic we are talking about is the Sa xr 45, availiable at JandR music world for 299 dollars.
From one ham to another, just buy it Om, or go get the Sa XR 25 from Circuit City, and you get a 30 day return policy.
It is a wonderful sounding amp, plus it also has remote control tone controls too, not that I use em that much.
I am using it to drive old B& W Matrix 801's with the woofer zobel removed,, a 3.4 ohm load with great success.
Yeah Abe, the old Ham manufacturers laughed at the Japanese, and now they arent around anymore.
I hope our american high end manufacturers dont miss the boat on Digital amplification,,because its clear to me that its going to be whats happening in the next 5 years or so.
My God, Sony has a digital receiver selling for about a grand tghats 170 watts times 7 channels!
The time for rejoicing is at hand for every music lover, the price of good sound is coming way down.
Abe, obviously you have some ham radio background, are you still active ?
