NAD C320 jumper

When I replaced my Nad jumper between Pre and Power with my VdH The Seconds Interconnect , the sound became smoother with less brightness.
We do not get Tara Lab jumper in India. Can we use a regular IC as jumper . If so of what length? Can somebody advise me on some economical option, as I do not want to use my only Interconnect (Vdh The Seconds) as jumper as then I shall not be having any good quality IC to connect my source.
