Great review of the HLLY TAMP-20 Patrick. I'll have to try one out myself, now. I've been reading good things about the DIY Charlize 2 2020 T Amp, I hope the HLLY does as well or better.
I'm sitting here between 2 Triangle Antal XS speakers that I've powered with an upgraded Jolida SJ-302A for a few years now and I totally understand what you mean by the "Triangle" sound.
Even when tamed by tubes, the Triangles seem to occasionally almost "demand" that you listen, rather than merely invite you to.
This can be very impressive at times, but I don't think you'll ever hear them described as "relaxing", which is more often the feeling I'm looking for these days.
I'm going to get a hold of a full range speaker like a Fostex to mate with the t amp, and then I'll post my results.
