George, thanks again; I really appreciate the input. I'm trying to decide which model to try (406; 408 or 530) that I can hopefully find used. I will be driving either JM Lab Micro Utopias, or Sonus Faber Electa Amator II's (depending on which system the Accuphase ends up in)--any thoughts on the match with these?Also, do you know if the switch to use the 406 solely as an amp (i.e. if I want to hook my Meridian 568 pre/pro up at some point and use the 406 to pwr the front speakers only) is on the front of the amp (the website pics look like this is the case on the newer 408, but I can't tell on the 406)?
