The bigger brands that regard their reputation as important, tend to build modules under licence after working with Hypex or Purifi, etc to maximise its performance and matches their own requirements - house sound, etc. Also these respected brands tend to use better power supplies, sockets, case, etc so in my view, it is worth spending more for a good brand's version of, for example the Purifi Eigentakt Class D technology. I believe NAD and T+A build under Purifi license using upgraded components.
