Home Amp/Preamp Asylum

Looking for a new Amp or Preamp? If you're after tubes, post over here.

Wrong

It is unique. It's not Class D. No output filter like ALL Class D amps are required to have.
The output stage actually works at lower power without the Class D current source. It sure as hell isn't a Class D amp. As far as I am aware, no one else has this topology. It's a variation of the Quad current dumping design.

Seems to me Devialet can label it as they choose, since it's unique.

There is also Class H, a variation of Class AB, with multiple voltage rails for the output stage. Soundcraftsman, Luxman, NAD, all used some variation of this. As the power demand from the amplifier went up, the output rails switched to a higher voltage to accommodate the power increase.
