Unfortunately I found that the Hypex intolerably "skrieky" and unnatural during fortissimo passages with high-range instruments such as brass and violins. This is odd because during moderate passages it sounded fine. So I ordered the VTV buffer with the Sparkos SS3602 op amp,(DIP8 format).
It seems you now confirm what I've experienced for years regarding conventional op amps. The Sparkos (like the Burson units used in my garage system) use discrete devices. :)
