Dear Sir,please excuse me if I jump in, but I have a vintage (1980) SS integrated Kenwood ka-801 with two power transfomer that get very hot even leaving on the amp without music (i.e. at idle).
And the bass response is not that strong and solid for an amp such well built anyway.
You mention: "Check filter caps for leakage".
How can I check the caps? Is it easy?
The caps are original (so 26 years old).
Would it be better to replace them anyway?Thank you so much.
Kind regards,beppe
