Amp/Preamp Asylum Looking for a new Amp or Preamp? If you're after tubes, post over here. |

Hey all:Hope you're all having a happy audio evening out there.
After trying some essentially unshielded Kimbre Timbre cables to connect my rebuilt vintage Eico pre and my HK Citation V and having some significant hum; and pretty much eliminating a ground loop problem (although when can a novice hobbyist ever really be sure) - After much delay I went by my local audio place today and brought home some Kimbre Hero cables (my local loves Kimbre). They have some shielding.. and my rig was 'somewhat" quieter. But for this kinda scratch, i'm thinking i need to try some decent quality stuff that is seriously shielded.
Any suggestions would be terrific.
Thanks Guys/Gals..Marc
p.s. will post identical post in vintage and in Cables..
